Container Deposit Scheme

You can support Experience Life by donating your container refunds through ReturnIt. Every 10-cent deposit you donate contributes to our organisation, helping us invest back into the people we support and our community.

It’s a simple way to make a difference without spending anything extra. And at the same time, you’re helping keep containers out of landfill.

Enter this at a ReturnIt depot touchscreen, or save it in the ReturnIt app, to send your refunds to us.

How it works

1. Collect your eligible cans, bottles and cartons.
2. Take them to a ReturnIt refund point. ReturnIt covers Cardinia and Bass Coast councils among others, so there are depots close to home if you are out our way.
3. At the touchscreen, choose to donate - or register the Zone ID above in the ReturnIt app so it happens automatically every time.
4. Your 10c per container comes to us instead of your pocket.

We were one of the first local charities to join the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme, and we are an official ReturnIt donation partner.

Where it goes

Experience Life is a not-for-profit and ACNC-registered charity. The donation we receive goes back into the organisation and, ultimately, the people we support. For 20 years Experience Life has supported people with a disability to live the way they choose.
